As Tau Beta Sigma's Vice Presidents of Membership, we are ecstatic at the prospect of leading this new year's class of membership candidates through their process this year, and we are even more excited to get to know all of the potential membership candidates this Fall! 

Looking back on my Tau Beta Sigma recruitment process, my fondest memory was that of the friendship and camaraderie I shared with the Tau Beta Sigma actives, who would eventually become my future sisters the very next semester, while traveling with the mini band to the Kansas Game! That day, I found myself having some of the most fun I've ever had on a band bus ride alongside the group of TBS members on the trip. I remember us taking goofy pictures on the bus and in the Campus Rec Center bathroom, laughing and dancing together in the stands so hard that the freezing temperatures didn't bother me until the fourth quarter, and my face hurting from smiling. As a freshman at the time, it meant so much to have genuinely felt such an authentic sense of community with only a portion of our chapter of TBS that day in such a big way. I knew then that by even just attending the recruitment events and applying for TBS, I had already made so many meaningful friendships.

Tau Beta Sigma has truly been such a warm, welcoming, and impactful presence, as well as such an amazing opportunity to serve the greater Austin community and empower women in music in our experience here at UT and within the Longhorn Band. We feel lucky to be able to contribute to that same positive energy this coming year as your Vice Presidents of Membership, and we can't wait to talk to y'all!​
