WHO WE ARE

Tau Beta Sigma has been serving college bands since its founding in 1946 at Oklahoma A&M University. The National Honorary Sorority has hundreds of chapters across the country. The University of Texas at Austin's Beta Gamma Chapter received its charter in 1957, and is the largest chapter in the nation, with about 80 active members and growing each year. We are proud to serve the University of Texas Longhorn Band, Showband of the Southwest!

WHAT WE DO

About Us: What We Do

GAME DAY SERVICE

Every football game, our members serve the band by carrying medicine kits, supplying water, and selling UT merchandise. The majority of the proceeds from this merchandise benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

EXTERNAL SERVICE

Our chapter also serves the greater Austin community. We participate in a variety of different service events, such as working with Mobile Loaves and Fishes and St. David's Medical Center. We also participate in "Adopt-a-Schools," where we join a local high school's band program at their football games.

PHILANTHROPY EFFORTS

The Beta Gamma Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma's philanthropy efforts benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Eastside Memorial High School in Austin, TX.
